F
rom the beginning it has been our
goal to produce horses that are correct enough to be
competitive in hand and yet have the athletic
ability and willingness of mind to become good solid
riding horses. We haven’t been taken in by trends.
Sure I look at pedigrees, and who is winning in the
ring, but I also look at the individual. Is this the
type of horse that I would want to ride all day? For
me, that’s pretty, balanced, smart and athletic.
Good feet, good bone, good sense. Our successes, in
and out of the show ring are all the sweeter as the
majority of the horses have been bred, raised,
trained and shown by us. We haven’t made it to
center ring at U.S. Nationals yet, but that day is
coming. Won’t you join us?

Who are we?
We are family owned and operated and all of the love
and labor comes from my husband Temple, our good
friend Karen Martin and me.

Temple and KC Crossfire
Temple Robinson –Temple did not come from a horse
background and yet he has become a regular in the
halter classes, winning many awards. At home he
helps in the care and maintenance of the horses and
property. From foal watch, to showing halter, to
building fence, his good-natured persistence earns
him the admiration of all.

Susan and LH Seirra Splash “Roxxanne”
Susan Robinson – I have had the opportunity to own
and train horses for most of my life. Arabians have
always been my love, but my first horses and ponies
were a mixed lot. It wasn’t until 1974 that I bred
and raised my first Half-Arabian. It has been
purebred and part-bred Arabians ever since.

Karen with Badja
Karen Martin – Karen is a mainstay for the farm.
Without her we would be unable to do the training
and showing that we do. She helps with the
day-to-day care and runs the operation in our
absence.

Love and thanks to:
My Lord God for all of His glorious
Grace and Mercy. For creating a creature as
marvelous as the horse and for giving me flight
without wings.
My husband and best friend, Temple.
His support and dedication goes beyond words.
To our best friend Karen, she is an
absolutely amazing person. Thank you so much for all
of your years of hard work and sacrifice.

Tommy and KC Seranade
Tommy Garland –
Trainer, Clinician, Garland’s. Tommy, Dawn and
everyone at Garland’s have been a major factor in my
return to the show ring. After a fall (of my own
doing) about 10 years ago, I only rode at home, but
continued showing in hand. When Tommy moved back to
Virginia I took some of our horses to him to finish.
With his guidance and encouragement I regained that
lost confidence and was able to get back in the
ring. I have had many really good rides since and
have started training again. I know that with the
support of Garland’s the best is yet to come.

Terry and Queen Latifah
Terry Goode – Trainer, Wild Rose
Farm. With my work schedule I haven’t the time to
work with all of the horses every day, so starting
in 1998 (after my fall), we began taking a couple
each year to what Temple likes to call “Terry’s
School of Common Sense.” Terry works with all
breeds, but really admires the Arabian. He loves
starting youngsters under saddle and his foundation
training places a strong emphasis on ground work. By
only taking on 1 or 2 horses at a time he is able to
give them lots of quality attention.

Ted and KC
West
Ted Carson – Trainer, Judge, Butler
Farm Training Center. Ted has been a tremendous help
to us. He has not only shown several of our horses,
but has also been instrumental in helping me to
become a better halter trainer. His step by step
approach is easy for the horse and handler to
understand. It dispels the belief that halter horses
cannot be riding horses. If trained correctly and
not stressed they can indeed do both.
